This MOC represents the BR193 Vectron MS (multi‑system), a modern electric locomotive from Siemens’ Vectron family. The class is designed for cross‑border operation and can run on both AC and DC electrified networks. A defining feature of the MS variant is its four roof‑mounted pantographs.

The Vectron comes in an almost countless number of liveries, and many railway companies use it.

This version shows it in the well‑known Alpine mountain range design livery of the Swiss Railways SBB.

Technical specifications of the MOC:

Length: 57.2 studs (457 mm)

Width: 9 studs (72 mm)

Height: 15 studs (120 mm)

Weight: approx. 1,230 g

Parts: 1,544

Construction features:

This MOC focuses on a robust, everyday‑ready design. No third‑party wheels or fragile construction techniques are used, particularly around the front section.

The model is fully functional, handles R40 curves in any configuration, and offers strong pulling power thanks to two train motors and four internal extra-weight bricks.

The locomotive works largely without stickers. However, some small stickers are used for the final detailing.

For the bogies, you need to use the decorative side after the year 2010, Bricklink part number 39886. The side skirt on this part protrudes exactly one brick’s width (8 mm), unlike the pre‑2010 version where the side panel extends 8.3 mm. The Rebrickable parts database does not differentiate between the two versions.

I provide a detailed step-by-step building instruction. At the end of it, you find an overview of all needed parts.

Print-ready sticker sheets are available too (in case the model contains stickers). I provide it in the widely used PDF-format in high-resolution for DIY printing and as Adobe Illustrator file (.ai) for printing with professional print shops.

Furthermore, I provide the parts list in .csv and .xml format. This makes it easy to import the parts list on common platforms and create wanted lists or orders.
