The DB Class 218 is a class of 4-axle, diesel-hydraulic locomotives acquired by the Deutsche
Bundesbahn for use on main and secondary lines for both passenger and freight trains.
The locomotives have a hydrodynamic brake, an engine providing electrical train heating via a
generator and a single engine to provide tractive power.
The 218s were also the most numerous of the family, providing the backbone of the Deutsche Bundesbahn's main-line diesel locomotive traction from the 1970s until today.

The MOC of the BR218 in dark red colour scheme. The model is available in red and tan colour scheme as well.
I tried my best to rebuild the complex body shape of the 218 with bricks. The MOC comes in three popular colour schemes: dark red, tan and red. For a better traction, the model is equipped with two PF-train-motors and additionally with four bricks with additional weight. The model can pass any turnout or curve down to R40.
MOC stats:
Length: 49.2 studs
Width: 8.8 studs
Height: 14.2 studs

I provide a detailed step-by-step building instruction. At the end of it, you find an overview of all needed parts.
A print-ready sticker sheet is available too (in case the model contains stickers). I provide it in the widely used PDF-format in high-resolution and print-ready.
Furthermore, I provide the parts list in Excel format. This makes it easy to filter out needed parts and create order lists.
