Coaches of HSB (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen)

The HSB (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen) is a private railway company in Germany and their trains running on narrow gauge (as it is mentioned in the company’s name already) in the very popular Harz region (a low mountain range in the middle of Germany). A special thing is, that on regular base, they have steam engines in front of their trains, a highlight for train enthusiasts.

This MOC represents 3 different coaches of the HSB, a coach for passengers with toilet, a coach for passengers without the toilet and the mail coach. The passenger coaches are in the typical tan/dark red colour scheme, while the mail coach is only dark red. All coaches have some interior and can pass curves and turnouts down to R40.

These coaches are a perfect fit for my MOC of the steam engine BR99 (MOC-167419).

Like the BR99 steam engine, also the coaches are running on Lego® standard tracks. The reason why I chose the standard gauge, is the same as for the steam engine: The variety of the standard tracks is huge, while for narrow gauge the offer is limited. And also, the coaches are compatible with your other rolling material.

At the beginning of the instruction file, I give you some information about the parts I used for this MOC and alternatives to build it.

MOC stats (for all 3 coaches):

Length: 105.4 studs

Width: 8.0 studs

Height: 11.6 studs

Weight: 1233g

Parts: 1423

I provide a detailed step-by-step building instruction. At the end of it, you find an overview of all needed parts.

A print-ready sticker sheet is available too (in case the model contains stickers). I provide it in the widely used PDF-format in high-resolution and print-ready.

Furthermore, I provide the parts list in Excel format. This makes it easy to filter out needed parts and create order lists.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damages or injury on parts and humans happen while following my instructions. Everything you do is your responsibility and under your personal risk.
